A page from my diary:
I was sitting back the other night, just before I turned off the light to turn in for the night, thinking about my past. Sometimes we get so focused on what we’re doing in our present to create our future, we forget to look back and learn from where we’ve been and be thankful for what we have.
I’ve been looking for a way out of the daily grind of working for someone else ever since my son was 18 months old (he’s 14 now). I was a single mom (still am) with no family around for support. So whatever I did, I did on my own. My motivation back then was to be with my son and not have someone else raise him in a day care.
First I almost killed myself in a brick and mortar business working 18 hour days and investing the equity in my house to get it started. What a failure that was.
Then I got took for $10,000.00 by someone who I’m sure was running his business out of a garage somewhere down south. That put me into bankruptcy. (That one is finally off my record.)
From there I got into network marketing and numerous fabulous products later I have a stack of business kits, tapes, DVDs, brochures (does this sound at all familiar?) with nothing to show for it but another stack of maxed out credit cards. Will I never learn?
But you know, I’m glad I kept trying. Because I have finally become a part of something that actually works. Am I rich yet? NO! But this business is actually paying me for the volume I have building in my downline, and I haven’t had to personally sponsor any of them. They are a part of my team, and my team leader helped me get started by streamlining beneath me. And that’s how I plan on building my business.
The products are products I can be cofident in using in my home and for my families health. Plus they are healthy for the environment. That is very important to me too.
The company has been around for over 50 years (I remember my Grandma using their new products back when I was a little girl.) And with the new CEO who took over four years ago, the company is as young now as it was back then, with fantastic new products for the consumer and new pay plan for the business builder.
I believe this business has been the best decision I ever made.
